Meet the breeder

I'm Darlene C., the breeder behind Perks Court Doodles located in Dayton, OH. We LOVE all of our dogs and spend all of our time & energy developing our breeding program to produce smart, confident, amazing Goldendoodles. Follow our journey on Instagram and Facebook to see all the hard work we put into our puppy curriculum to create well-rounded, home raised, healthy puppies.

Q. & A. with Darlene

  • Why did you start breeding?

Being a 3rd generation breeder, dogs & puppies have ALWAYS been a big part of my life! I fell in love with Goldendoodles the first time I laid eyes on one. I was looking for a kid-friendly, low-to-no shed companion, who was active, sweet, and loved being around people. Ziggy (10 yr old) started my obsession with Goldendoodles. And now we have 5 Goldendoodles, Ziggy, Zoe, Beasley, Piper and Monty!
  • What makes your program special?

We start with only breeding healthy, well temperamented dogs. Our program is in our home, which allows us to provide our puppies with the best start to their lives. We start our puppy training and exposure program at 3 days old and continue it through go home day. Our goal is to provide families with a well rounded, sweet puppy that will fit well into any family for them to love forever!
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, black, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Working with Darlene was everything we could have hoped for. We live far away, but she was still willing (and eager) to accommodate our situation. The care Darlene has for her puppies is evident in everything that she does. Our little Hazel was already well adjusted to new sounds and puppy handling when we picked her up, and Darlene made sure to send us off with plenty of food, toys, and smells to help her transition. Hazel is the sweetest little girl ever, but has her “hazelnut” moments when it comes to play! She is incredibly smart and has caught on quickly to her training. Thank you, Darlene and Perks Court Doodles for making this experience so great! 😊

Darlene was great to work with! She clearly loves her all the puppies that come thru her home. She was so patient with our family as we were indecisive about selecting our new puppy. They were all so cute with their own fun personalities. I would not hesitate to get another puppy from Dawn. Overall great experience!

Darlene was so great to work with. This is our first family pet. We had lots of questions and she was willing to answer all of them thoroughly and timely. When visiting her house, we felt comfortable that her dogs and puppies are well cared for. Our Bentley has been so good. He has picked up on crate training, sitting, and so much more so quickly. You can tell his first 8 weeks with Darlene were instrumental in his current temperament. I'd highly recommend choosing Darlene from Perks Court!
