I'm Derek and Mindy P., the breeder behind Peterbuilt Boerboel located in Magnolia, TX. Our dogs are bred for health and natural Boerboel temperaments. We have top quality lines, many Champion sired adults. All our dogs are fully health tested. All our puppies come with a health guarantee and lifetime support from us. Our dogs stay either in our home or climate controlled buildings.

Why did you start breeding?
When we got our first Boerboel we quickly realized this breed is not your average dog, they’re so special. We absolutely fell in love with the breed and hope to better it.What makes your program special?
Many of our adult dogs are Champion sired and or imported from South Africa. One thing that makes us unique is we have all tall female Boerboels, which can be hard to find. Our shortest female is 27.5" at the withers. We also keep all our dogs either in home or in climate controlled building with dog runs. Mindy spends her entire day ensuring they get plenty of love and play.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include brindle, fawn, and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
Getting a puppy from Derek and Mindy
Derek and Mindy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,500 - $5,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Price include SABBS birth certificate, 24 month health guarantee, first vaccinations, microchip, tail docking, vet check, worming at weeks 2, 4, 6, & 8, and lifetime support. We don’t take deposits until the litter is born in most cases. Once we have a deposit/contract we will put you in line on the litter pick. Deposits can be transferred to another litter at a later date.”

Derek and Mindy may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. She was the only puppy out that litter and her temperament is one of the most solid temperaments we’ve ever seen from a Boerboel. He has heavy muscling, a massive head, and an absolutely amazing temperament. Marino has a high level of confidence and is everything a Boerboel should be. You won't find many (if any) boerboels in the States built like Marino.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
