Evan & Carleigh L.

Breeder of West Siberian Laikas

Meet the breeder

I'm Evan & Carleigh L., the breeder behind Petrichor West Siberian Laika located in Woonsocket, RI. We are a selective breeding program that focuses on temperament and the overall well-being of our dogs. We breed to produce happy and healthy puppies that can continue to thrive in their forever homes. It is important for us to maintain the characteristics unique to the Siberian Laika breed as a whole.

Q. & A. with Evan & Carleigh

  • Why did you start breeding?

The more time we spent with our WSL the more we realized how incredible the breed is. Having an incredibly stable, happy, and driven dog has inspired us to contribute to the breed in multiple ways including breeding.
  • What makes your program special?

We use OFA for health testing, utilize AviDog and ENS protocols for raising puppies. Our foundation female, Raven, has participated in various scientific studies for the Dog Genome Project, The Canine Brains Project, and more.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Price

Puppy prices include between $800 - $1,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price ensures that our puppies are able to be raised in the best and healthiest way possible including quality food, vet care and socialization/exposure. We don't do deposits because we don't want potential owners to feel obligated to get a puppy if it is no longer a viable option for them. We know that deposits are not realistic for everyone.”

Evan & Carleigh may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
