I'm Judith P., the breeder behind Pimasz Kutya Kennel located in Micanopy, FL. Our dogs are bred for health and temperament. The parents are fully health tested for breeding puppies that are conformationally sound, have wonderful temperaments and will fit into many types of homes. Pumis are excellent farm, performance, and show dogs.
Q. & A. with Judith
Why did you start breeding?
My first Pumi I purchased from a breeder that I now feel did not do health testing. This dog, although having excellent conformation, was found to have terrible hip dysplasia. I want to ensure that only excellent breeding stock is used to further this relatively rare, heritage breed.
What makes your program special?
My breeding stock is all health tested, have Optimal Selection DNA testing done. They have excellent temperaments. Puppies are raised in a Puppy Culture environment.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
