I'm Romelia S., the breeder behind Pine Creek GSD located in Ludington, MI. Our dogs are bred for their health, conformation, and drive. I do not believe in producing low drive German Shepherds. True quality German Shepherds should be able to match a dog breed like a Malinois or Dutch shepherd with no problem.
Q. & A. with Romelia
Why did you start breeding?
Like I said above I haven’t gotten started yet but I really want to produce quality puppies for everyone to enjoy. I truly believe in improving the German Shepherd breed. A lot of breeders claim to be reputable and they may take every steps but at the end of the day they breed mediocre dogs. My German shepherds have never had an issue keeping up with any other dog breed. In fact they have outperformed quite a few Belgian Malinois and Dutch Shepherd‘s which is very impressive for their breed.
What makes your program special?
What makes us special is the fact that we are producing German Shepherd‘s that are difficult to find anywhere else in the world. There are really only a handful of breeders who are doing what we are trying to do and I feel like the more we put it out there the more successful it will become.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, black and red, black and tan, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

About Dixie
I thought my OG girl could use a spot on my page. She will not be bred due to her age (almost 9 now) I wish I would have bred her when she was younger but we can’t change the past.
Dante, dad
German Shepherd
About Dante
Dante is a possible up and coming stud depending if he passes his health testing & is titled. Dante is a dark sable GSD pup who has intense food & toy drive, he has a nice full mouth grip and A LOT of intensity behind his bites.
Parent health testing
Breeder-Reported Testing
Excellent level
Pine Creek GSD reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
