I'm Jessica B., the breeder behind Pine Grove Farm Bassets located in Powder Springs, GA. My relationship with bassets began in the early 80's. I find it hard to imagine life without these loving hounds! We strive to breed bassets that will add to your family dynamic. To do so, we select our breeding pairs carefully. Your puppy will come to you healthy and ready for daily family life!
Q. & A. with Jessica
Why did you start breeding?
Basset Hounds have been a part of my life as long as I can remember. Once the busyness of family life settled down a little, I had the time to commit to my bassets to start a breeding program I could be proud of. My goal in breeding is to provide families with a wonderful example of the Basset Hound breed. A dog that is correct in structure and solid in temperament.
What makes your program special?
Our parent dogs live in our home with us. They are a part of our every day lives and active family members, not housed in kennels. We start working with our puppies soon after birth. Your puppy will come to your home having been exposed to the in and outs of daily family life (doorbells, vacuum cleaners, etc.) all in a positive way. We start potty training skills, crate training and leash work.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
