I'm Amy T., the breeder behind Pine Meadows Farm located in Black, AL. We strive to produce the best overall livestock guardians and family members. We begin with initial livestock guardian training by integrating them in with chickens, cats and goats. We are proud of our program and look forward to helping you find your next livestock guardian!
Q. & A. with Amy
Why did you start breeding?
We have wanted an Anatolian Shepherd ever since our experiences watching them guard their flocks outside the bases we were stationed at while we were Soldiers serving in Afghanistan. In 2016, we found our first Anatolian Shepherd and fell in love with his eagerness to protect our farm and livestock. We felt that since we benefitted from this amazing breed, others could benefit as well.
What makes your program special?
Our dogs are raised on a working farm. The puppies whelped here are born of working livestock guardians. The puppies have daily interaction with farm living and are socialized with the livestock here.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include biscuit and white and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
