I'm Angie C., the breeder behind Poise Aussies & American Hairless Terriers located in Cleveland, TX. Our focus is on the show ring. We strive to improve with every generation by studying pedigrees to try and make the best match for future generations. A show dog requires an excellent temperament to withstand the stress and that in turn makes for a great pet that can adapt to anything quickly. Our primary goal is to breed dogs that fit the ideal standard and temperament that excel in all venues.

We wanted to do our part to better these breeds. Our breeding program strives to maintain the unique characteristics of our breeds while placing an emphasis on producing Aussies and American Hairless Terriers of superior health, temperament, and conformation.What makes your program special?

"This includes AKC registration and microchip that is pre-paid by me. Puppies are sent home with a gps tracking collar for piece of mind for all. Especially if being transported by car. If we do not have a puppy that is a good match for your home we will refund your deposit once all pups are sold."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Spine (OFA, FCI), Brucellosis, Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA), Legg-Calve-Perthes (OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
