Meet the breeder

I'm Elisabeth B., the breeder behind Prairie Doodle Dogs located in Pleasant Prairie, WI. We are a small family breeder of loving furry family members. We focus on health and temperament. All of our breeding girls live either in our home or in a guardian home. Each puppy is carefully hand-raised to ensure a reliable temperament and cherished companionship with its new family. We look forward to connecting with you!

Q. & A. with Elisabeth

  • Why did you start breeding?

I began breeding as many owners do, clueless to what is involved with reputable breeding. I just wanted my Aubrey to have one litter. I enjoyed the process so much that I wanted to continue breeding and thus began my journey to becoming a serious, competent, and reputable breeder. My breeding dogs are now genetically tested and OFA certified.
  • What makes your program special?

I utilize Early Neurological Stimulation techniques on my puppies to prepare them for their new homes. Not only do my puppies learn more with each litter, but I learn something new, too! I have taken classes in Canine Fertility and Timing, Canine Embryology and Fetal Development for Breeders, and more! Once a puppy goes to its new forever home, I welcome each of my puppies and their new families into my extended puppy family. We have a private Facebook where we share questions and advice.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include cream, apricot, chocolate, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

We had such a wonderful experience working with Elisabeth! From the start, she made our journey to finding Bentley so easy and special. She was always responsive, shared regular updates, and even welcomed us for visits before pickup. Bentley came home practically potty and crate trained, making the transition seamless. He’s been a bundle of joy, and we’re so grateful to Elisabeth for giving him the best start. We couldn’t have asked for a better breeder and would absolutely recommend her—maybe we’ll be back for a playmate for Bentley someday! 🐾

Elisabeth was very responsive and answered all of our questions. She provided recommendations on food, etc. and sent us home with a folder that included important information along with a goodie bag. She started potty training and crate training which made it a smoother transition for our puppy when she arrived home. It was a great experience working with Elisabeth!

From day one I was impressed with Elisabeth at Prairie Doodle Dogs. I texted her through the Good Dog website and she answered within minutes. She communicated with me about the adoption process and the steps to take. My husband and I were able to visit the litter at 3 weeks which was nice so we could ask Elisabeth more questions and see the area the puppies were being taken care of. Along the way, while waiting for the adoption, Elisabeth always answered my questions and without delay. The day we picked up Finn, Elisabeth gave us all the information and even more that we needed to start Finn with his new family. I would highly recommend Elisabeth and Prairie Doodle Dogs if you are looking to adopt a Goldendoodle. We are very happy with our new puppy.

Working with Elisabeth and finding our golden doodle puppy was such a wonderful experience for my family! She was very personable and kind. Since we were local she encouraged myself and 3 young kids to visit our puppy whenever we wanted. Elisabeth is very knowledgeable about the golden doodle breed and continues to be available for any questions or concerns that we may have. Also, communication with Elisabeth is always done in a timely manner. We look forward to our continued relationship with Prairie Doodle Dogs and perhaps buy Shadow a playmate in the next couple of years!

Elisabeth was so lovely to work with! She was more than willing to answer any and all questions, and still does so even after taking our pup home! She clearly takes great care of them. :) We were nervous not knowing what to expect getting our first puppy together and she couldn’t have made it a more pleasant process. Thank you Elisabeth!

I have had the most wonderful interaction with Elizabeth and prairie doodle dogs. Our little girl has been home three weeks and we could not be more pleased. Elizabeth really took her time with the puppies to make sure they were ready for life in a home. In three weeks we had very few potty accidents, and found crate training much easier due to the excellent training Elizabeth does in her home. Lily aka snuggles came to us knowing how to play with toys and is a very confident puppy. We are ecstatic to have lily and extremely grateful to Have found prairie doodle dogs.
