I'm Jonathan M., the breeder behind Precision Kennels located in Darlington, SC. We focus on working ability, health, and temperament first. All of our breeding dogs are raised in the home, compete in sports, and travel with us daily. We love our dogs and what we do, and we strive to make each puppy a great contribution to his or her forever home.
Q. & A. with Jonathan
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding German Shepherds to produce dogs for a need. Over the years I saw how a good dog can make people feel better physically and emotionally. I also saw how they can provide a sense of peace knowing their dogs can protect them if needed. At this point, I began training family protection dogs. I was disappointed to see how many dogs were unstable or didn’t have the characteristics needed so I set out to produce good dogs that filled this need.
What makes your program special?
What makes my program special is the fact that we often keep a few of our puppies out of each litter to train. This really allows us to evaluate the dogs we’re producing and better gauge which puppies are best for each family. My goal is to have continual insight into the ways in which I can better my program. I truly love my dogs and what I do. I look forward to connecting with you!
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and guardian homes.
