I'm Joanna S., the breeder behind Prince Labradors located in Yelm, WA. Welcome dedicated breeding program, where we prioritize health, genetics, and quality in our Labradors. Our mission is to breed dogs with enthusiasm to go hunting in the morning, yet have the adaptability to settle down. We are passionate about both the show ring and the field.

Why did you start breeding?
We started our small breeding program 8 years ago. We have always raised dogs here and there but we moved to start a program due to our other experiences. We felt it could just be done better and we wanted to share this breed with others.
What makes your program special?
Our breeding program stands apart from other with our lifetime commitment and suppprt for our puppies, dogs, and clients. We raise and enjoy the Labrador breed as a family love sharing this impactful breed with others. We work towards perfecting and developing our show lines as well has competition/performance lines. Nothing more breath taking than a canine athlete competing at a high level.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Basset Hound puppies include black brown and white and black and white. Labrador Retriever puppies include black, chocolate, and yellow. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Joanna

Joanna has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Joanna partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,300 - $3,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“All pups come with AKC registration, 2 yr health guarantee, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, temprament tested, puppy starter package, 30 days free pet insurance, vet exam, professional photos. Nonrefundable 500 deposit goes towards total purchase price of puppy. Price for pups is set when litter is born.”

Contract & health guarantee

Joanna may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Edith
Edith is our pride and joy. This puppy was determined and destined to be here and change the world. She is our family show dog and companion. Edith is a smart pup who absolutely shines. She loves me and my children. Edith has tons of confidence and has always been the boss. She has a bubbly personality and know exactly how to get what she wants. Edith is well onto her way to completing her championship in the show ring. She is a joy to show and live with. Award winning personality.

About Myrtle
Myrtle is a daughter to a AKC GCH. Bonner is with High Country Labradors. Pictures do not do him justice. He truly is the best dog inside and out. He has produced multiple show champions and therapy dogs. All of which get his beautiful face. Myrtle's Mother was a devoted hunting dog from Young's show dog lines. We are pursuing a confirmation show career with Myrtle. So far her and I have learned so much. She has being doing well. Hoping to continue to work towards her championship. So far Myrtle has 6 AKC points and points towards her FASTCAT title. Myrtle is a great family dog and learns so quickly. Can't wait to see her with puppies.

About Norma Jean
Norma Jean is a super confident, sweet, in charge, goof ball. Everyone is Norma's friend and if you aren't just give it time. Like any good woman she is in charge of her environment and likes to have a good time. Not a day goes by the Norma doesnt live life to the fullest. She definitely thinks shes a lab. She loves water, playing fetch/keep away, going for car rides, eating and taking long naps in the sun. She loves watching TV on the couch or the bed. He favorite indoor friend is Puddin' the cat. She loves kids, adults, strangers, etc. Norma is quiet the Hunter. Love chasing rabbits yet know the pet rabbits are off limits. Loves camping and going for walks. Norma is a true show dog. She feels everyone shows to just see her strut around the ring.

About Babs
Babs is a happy go lucky girl with lots of play drive. She is sure to make everyone laugh. She absolutely loves water. We often call her our chocolate Hippo. There is no amount of love that is too much from this dog. She loves puppies and will befriend anyone. Solid temperament to go with some many wonderful labrador qualities. Bab's is a good girl who just wants a hug. She is a great show dog that is phased by nothing. She has an excellent thick, dark chocolate coat, heavy bone, lots of muscles and a nice thick, straight tail.

Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Primary Open Angle Glaucoma, Basset Hound Type, Thrombopathia, Basset Hound Type, Mucopolysaccharidosis Type I (MPS I), Lafora Disease (LD)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
