I'm Amy K., the breeder behind Puppy Sugars Kennels located in Fairhope, AL. Our dogs are bred to have top qualities that all families want in their puppies, such as compassion, patience, and love! Our focus is to produce the best dogs of the highest quality so that other families can also enjoy the love of a dog. These dogs have proven to be wonderful companions in our lives. It is a privilege to be able to share that love and friendship with others through responsible breeding.

Why did you start breeding?
After loosing our Pepper at 15 and getting Mitten & Aspen, we realized how beautiful and special they were. Both Aspen (liver parti with green eyes) and Mittens (black extremely soft mega coat) had the best personalities we'd ever seen in the Miniature Schnauzer breed. We also added a Harper ( a stunning salt/pepper with blue eyes and a heart of gold). We knew we had to continue their qualities. In addition to Miniature Schnauzers we also have a passion for the Yorkshire Terrier breed.What makes your program special?
Our babies are all raised in our home & well socialized from the time they are born. They grow up playing with our other dogs & our grandchildren ages 8mos-9yrs, so they are very used to both dogs and kids. We do everything possible to ensure their health. We give an early parvo (Neopar) shot at 4-5 weeks and a 6 in 1 combo at 8-9 weeks. Our puppies are microchiped and vet checked before leaving.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Yorkshire Terrier puppies include parti and black and tan. Miniature Schnauzer puppies include wheaten, white, parti, liver, black and silver, black, and salt and pepper. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Maya is a stunningly beautiful salt/pepper miniature schnauzer with a very soft mega coat and gorgeous blue eyes. She has some pretty black and tan highlights in her coat as well. The black is more around her eyes and nose and can be seen more when her coat is long. She has an extremely gentle and loving personality. She is AKC registered. We brought Winston( Phantom) home about two weeks ago. Through the whole process, Amy was so responsive in handling any questions that we had. +8We had lost our two miniature schnauzers a week apart in December. We were looking on GoodDog for a new puppy because we k ew we were not ready to have an empty house and missed our babies . My husband was searching and came across the pictures of Brody and Nova’s litter and we were smitten. We knew we had found the one we were meant to have. There was a picture of Ebony Blue Eyes. I contacted Amy and within two weeks we were bringing our baby home. Amy was always responsive and kept us up to date with what we needed to do. I probably asked her so many questions but she was always available. We met Earl near Atlanta and took our baby home. She has been a joy to us. She is full of spunk and mischievous. Our vet checked her out and have her a good review. She saw the groomer and was very good and so she got her first full groom. They couldn’t get enough of her and can’t wait wait to see her again. She has made us whole again. We are working on potty training. She has good and bad days but that’s to be expected. She tries. She eats well. We recommend Amy and Earl and would deal with them again

It’s been two weeks since I met Amy & Earl at a designated meeting place to pick up Elijah/Lijah, formerly Carson. I had inquired about him on a Monday and Amy set up the meeting that Wednesday for me to pick him up. Amy is quite knowledgeable about the parti-schnauzers and shared info with me. She had all of the paperwork (shot & heart worm/flea prevention records…) ready for me when I picked Lijah up. Amy has also been very prompt in answering any questions I’ve had. This little pup is the light of my life now. He’s well-adjusted and very sweet. Smart too! Thanks Amy for helping to fill the void since I lost my schnauzer Gertie 6 months ago. Trooper is great, he is everything and more that you said. He got his Rabies vaccine and two days later he got his first grooming. He gets along great with the three other dogs and is BFF with Billy.
