Meet the breeder

I'm David S., the breeder behind Purebred Elite Shepherds located in Vancouver, WA. We specialize in AKC Show-Line German Shepherds, rooted in excellence. Our foundation female and stud services come from the renowned Majestic’s Royal in Puyallup, WA. We prioritize health through OFA hip/elbow certifications, ensuring our puppies are as sound and healthy as they are beautiful.

Q. & A. with David

  • Why did you start breeding?

My entry into breeding was driven by a desire for excellence. I began by purchasing my foundation female from the renowned Majestic’s Royal German Shepherds breeder in Puyallup, WA. Under their mentorship, I’ve learned the nuances of the breed. I continue to work in close collaboration with them, utilizing their elite stud services to ensure my litters maintain a world-class bloodline and lineage.
  • What makes your program special?

Our program stands out through a commitment to health and heritage. All our dogs are AKC registered and have verified OFA certified results for hips and elbows to ensure sound movement. By focusing on show lines and collaborating with Majestic’s Royal German Shepherds, we produce puppies with exceptional temperaments, stunning conformation, and the health foundation to thrive for a lifetime.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include stock, plush, and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

  • Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
