Meet the breeder

I'm Breanna P., the breeder behind Purple Sage Puppies Bernese Mountain Dogs located in Oakley, ID. We believe a happy healthy puppy starts with a happy healthy parent. Our Berners are our family & together we love anything outdoors hiking, camping, & going to the river. We have young children that help raise the puppies, and we ensure puppies get socialized with new sounds, environments, & ENS.

Q. & A. with Breanna

  • Why did you start breeding?

After meeting our sisters Berner we decided we needed one as well. Bringing her home to our 1-year-old we quickly found the term “gentle giant” to be an accurate description of this breed. Showing patience & love to a child climbing on to & pulling fur & going on adventures with us she quickly earned her way into our hearts, & that is when we decided this was a breed we needed to share!
  • What makes your program special?

We feed our dogs & puppies Hills Science Diet specially formulated for large breeds to help ensure they don't outgrow their joints. We do ENS after puppies are born & continue their socialization through, touch, sound, environments, & people as they continue to grow. They are also introduced to my other Berners, All parents have had a genetic panel done specific to the Bernese Mountain Dog Breed.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black rust and white and black tan and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
