Michelle P.

Breeder of Samoyeds

Meet the breeder

I'm Michelle P., the breeder behind Pyles Of Smiles located in Phoenix, AZ. I am passionate about breeding and rescue. I take pride in my work and love the Samoyed breed. I strive to produce quality pups. I am purposeful in everything I do regarding my dogs, including careful selection of breeding dogs and extensive health testing. My goal is to produce healthy dogs with great temperaments, working drives, and conformation that are exemplary representations of the breed. I raise all of my dogs with love in my home and care for them as members of my family.

Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

Shellie was raised with hunting dogs in the family and understood that quality animals came from careful selection for desired traits and health through the care of a dedicated and knowledgeable breeder. As a young adult, animals were always a part of the family, including barnyard animals and horses.
  • What makes your program special?

We breed for health first. HEALTH. What good is an amazing show dog if he does not live more than a few years??? Your pets deserve to be with you for a long and healthy life and we know your family expects nothing else. After Health, we value Type - we want our Samoyeds to look like Samoyeds. We would put Temperament above Type, except that this breed has such an amazing overall temperament it's not a huge concern for us. We know which lines produce less-than-stable dogs and avoid them.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white, cream, and biscuit. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Michelle

Michelle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“It is expensive to raise dogs in today's world so our price reflects the investment made into each parent and in the infrastructure to do this work. That includes our own location (it's not easy finding dog-friendly places to live anymore) as well as the supports needed to exhibit and otherwise travel with the dogs and to meet their specific individual needs. At times, we hire professionals who are worth their weight in gold, but the costs are what they are! Additionally, our puppy prices include the actual AKC registration (not just an application), a 6-generation pedigree, full de-wormings & vaccinations to date at the time of transfer of ownership, AVID microchip and some other more nominal bonuses. Puppy socialization/training is invaluable as it cannot be replicated when they are older and living in their new home, without their siblings or parent! We strive to introduce them to everything their world will come to offer including leash, crate and potty training. ONLY when we have a litter safely born do we open our waiting list up for deposits as we are then guaranteeing you the quality and gender desired. You will tell us if you want a pet or a pet/show quality puppy and which gender at that time so we can begin determining which families will be considered for which puppies. Not until the puppies are 8 weeks old and have had their health, heart and eye tests will we be able to determine if there are any pet-show quality puppies.”
