Meet the breeder

I'm Hannah P., the breeder behind Pyrenean Mastiff USA located in California. Dogs from our program can excel in a variety of fields, including as livestock guardian dogs. We keep in mind a variety of factors when breeding, including drive, energy, temperament, and structure. Our goal is to produce balanced dogs that will be able to thrive wherever they are needed.

Q. & A. with Hannah

  • Why did you start breeding?

We aren't breeders with multiple dogs or going to shows, it's just Henry & Kate. We love animals and caring for them is a joy and their presence improves the land we live on. These guys help keep everyone safe and we felt that they were nice enough dogs that we should breed them. OFA elbows show no problems and Henry's hips are excellent, Kate's are good.
  • What makes your program special?

Our dogs have generations of instinct bred into them that they have put into practice since the day they arrived. They are with small children, livestock, and predators. It is tremendous to watch them work and be a part of the family, which for us, includes the animals.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
