I'm Jennifer S., the breeder behind Quality Italian Greyhounds located in Babson Park, FL. During the 20+ year time frame I've been breeding IGs, I've had no reported genetic health issues to speak of. I take my placements seriously and look for what I consider "forever homes". It is important to me to set the puppies up for success and to do this I do ask questions.
Q. & A. with Jennifer
Why did you start breeding?
I was brought up in a family that always raised puppies (over the years they ranged from tiny Yorkies to Irish Setters). Never more than 2 females and 1 male but living with puppies in the home can become contagious! Who can resist little puppies and don't get me started about puppy breath!!! I just adore all of it. Long story short, I also began breeding dogs when I reached adulthood.
What makes your program special?
My dogs and puppies are socialized at a very young age. Though IGs typically have a reputation for being "shy", mine are far from it! I also begin paper training at a young age and have been told by the majority of my new puppy owners that their little IG was a breeze to potty train.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
