I'm Regina P., the breeder behind Quiet Waters located in Fort Pierce, FL. Our focus: health and personality are first. Everyone likes our pretty dogs but a rewarding strife-free relationship with your hypoallergenic, healthy, smart, small, kind, and yes pretty dog is what our puppies will provide for you.
Q. & A. with Regina
Why did you start breeding?
McTavish was the most astoundingly devoted dog we had ever met. We tried showing and were not into it, nor were the dogs. Stripping hair as they do in the US is not fun for anyone. Besides we love their natural scruffy look. Obedience (communicating) came easy as Cairns are smart and attentive. It was a natural decision. Smart, strong, healthy, kind, intuitive and beautiful. These dogs are magic.
What makes your program special?
Luckily hubby is a Veterinarian so we get the inside scoop on raising dogs that will save you alot of heartache because of good health. Over the years we have had two dogs live to 23 years old! Our dogs are especially kind and social.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are biscuit and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Cairn Terrier
June, mom
Anatolian Pyrenees
About June
June is a big cuddle bug! She is the best momma ever. Her pups surely felt secure from the beginning. She is so very proud of them.
Clyde, dad
Anatolian Shepherd Dog
About Clyde
Clyde is the cream de La cream when it comes to gentle protector. Nothing gets by him. Having him on the farm, everyone is safe.
Wally, dad
Cairn Terrier
About Wally
Tiny Tim, aka Wally is a fierce squirrel hunter. He is 100% devoted to us and is always at our side whether we are watching TV or working outside. He is right by our side. He is an especially small Cairn, with a super personality, (our favorite trait)
Zouzou, mom
Cairn Terrier
About Zouzou
Zouzou is a bit spoiled, and she deserves it. She has been fully obedience trained and she is so smart she thinks she is the one who trained us! She is a registered service dog and has an amazing ability to pounce on me when she senses an asthmatic episode or sleep apnea that I may take my meds, so she sleeps with us every night. She loves to go for rides on the yacht and/or golf cart. She actually climbs up 15 feet up to the top of the yacht and she rides there where she can get the best view.

Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

Regina was wonderful! Our experience finding our new family member, Figgy (formerly Bridget) was great. Regina sent us photos and videos of our puppy and answered all our questions. She walked us through the entire process. I highly recommend Regina if you are looking for a healthy and happy puppy. It’s one of the best decisions we’ve ever made.
