I'm Jenny D., the breeder behind Rafter JM Aussies located in Fort Towson, OK. In 2023, after a decade in the industry, we made the tough decision to retire from the canine world. We have made the decision to leave my site up for now as a reference for anyone that can use it! We are always here to answer any questions!

Why did you start breeding?
I have had my fair share of dogs. The breed that stood out to me in all aspects as being "The One" was the Miniature Australian Shepherd. When the opportunity presented itself to leave the traditional work force and be a stay at home mom, I couldn't pass it up! I was able to dive headfirst into the dog world, learning the ins and outs of dog showing and preserving the breed I am so in love with!What makes your program special?
Not only are we championed, health tested and Good Dog verified, we are a tight-knit family; a pack! We get to know our puppy families and stay in touch. We offer support and friendship for life! We use the Super Dog Bio-Sensor program as well as a modified Puppy Culture to ensure our puppies have the best foundation possible!What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include blue merle, red merle, red, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Jenny has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
“The price of the deposit is $500, unless otherwise specified, and is non-refundable. We have three separate prices for our dogs depending on color and breeding rights. Pet Pricing is anywhere from $1300 to $2000 depending on the dog. Any dog sold for breeding rights will be sold for $2500, if approved. The price of the deposit is $500, unless otherwise specified, and is non-refundable but is transferrable to the next litter.”

Jenny may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Parent health testing
Excellent level
Rafter JM Aussies reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Miniature Australian Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Congenital Deafness (BAER, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA), Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd), Hereditary (Juvenile) Cataracts (HC; JC), PawPrint Genetic Panel (Breed Specific)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
