I'm Jody R., the breeder behind Rainessence Belgian Malinois located in Citrus County, FL. My dogs are proven champions in the ring and I produce pups that will excel in their chosen field; working, showing, or as companion dogs. My expertise is producing healthy, well-tempered, conformationally-sound puppies that have the potential to become Champions in their chosen field and your hearts. I place each of my puppies in an enriching home that will match their intelligence and personality!

Why did you start breeding?
When I first decided I wanted a dog for "protection", I thought I wanted a German Shepherd. I reached out to a friend who suggested I adopt a Belgian Malinois. Not knowing much about the breed, I started doing research. I fell in love immediately and never looked back. Since then, I've produced multiple Champions and puppies that have filled the hearts of the families they've gone home with.What makes your program special?
I am a proud breeder of Belgian Malinois and am so excited to share my love of them with the world. My heavy involvement in the show world speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by. I will always stand behind my puppies.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Jody
Jody has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Price includes health certificate from a licensed veterinarian. Also pup will be microchipped, have first and second round of vaccinations and will be registered with AKC in your name. When a puppy is available and we agree, I will request a deposit to hold the puppy for you. I will not request a deposit unless the puppy is agreed upon. All puppies have a health guarantee.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. About Gem
Gem is a female Belgian Malinois. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Jody decided to make her part of their program. Jody has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
