I'm the breeder behind Ravenna Borzoi located in Omaha, NE. My dogs are conformation champions in the ring and also compete in coursing and straight racing. I breed according to the standard and I focus on health and temperament. I know the health and status of every dog I have bred and am proud of the temperament and conformation of my puppies. I love participating in dog sports and love raising puppies.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    It is my passion to breed these incredible dogs and help ensure the future of the Borzoi. I am proud to represent this breed and create opportunities for others to experience the same joy that I've found in raising these wonderful dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

    My heavy involvement in the show world speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by. I do not breed my dogs unless they are fully healthy and genetically tested. I am dedicated to always having responsible policies when it comes to breeding, socializing, and training my pups. I will always stand behind my puppies.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
