I'm Kelly M., the breeder behind Ravenrose Gordon Setters located in Capital Region, NY. We strive to produce Gordons Setters with beauty, brains and birdsense, as defined by the Gordon Setter Club of America. Our program was built with care, intention and extensive research in every step. We are passionate about the health and wellbeing of this breed and it is our goal to provide each dog that comes from our program with a solid foundation of good health, neurological development, and loving care. We believe in producing Gordon Setters that have retained the instinct to do what they were developed to do-find and point birds-should their owners desire a companion in the field, conformation aligned with the AKC and GSCA standard and most importantly, have the temperament to be loving members of the family. Our Gordons live in our home, sharing it with one rescued mixed-breeds and they enjoy frequent visits from our local grandchildren, now aged 6 and 10. Our foundation Gordons earned their Junior Hunt titles and won Specialty shows. Our pick girl from their litter, Kady CH Ravenrose Eclipse Over Skylight, also shows great promise for fieldwork, and we hope to earn her first field title in 2026. We have plans to work towards scentwork and obedience with our boy, Korbin, CH Shiloh's First Snow at Windcrest JH. We perform all health tests recommend by our national breed club on our foundation Gordons and both have their CHIC certification from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA), meaning we have elected to make public all tests required by our National Breed Club and others we elect to perform. We test for the following: CAA, PRA, Hips and Elbow screening. In addition, we test basic cardiac function. Finally, we screen for e-Locus, the red gene. It is absent in our foundation Gordons and their offspring, meaning any Gordons we produce will be black and tan only, with the occasional, acceptable small white spot on their chests. We take our philosophy to heart: Respecting the Past, Referencing the Present, Reaching for the Future. I maintain good standing with the American Kennel Club, and am an active member of the Gordon Setter Club of America, the TarTan Gordon Setter Club, the Albany Kennel Club, the Canadian Kennel Club, the Gordon Setter Club of Canada and a Conditional member of the Albany Obedience Club.

About Keira
Bred by Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines, Keira was a Specialty, multiple Best of Opposite Sex in Specialty, multiple Best of Breed and multiple Group Placement winner in the conformation ring. She was my first Gordon setter, my foundation and the reason for my love of this breed. She was wonderful in the home, with a sweet, calm temperament and adored her people and fellow pack members. She performed beautifully in the field, having earned her Junior Hunt title (and 3 additional qualifying runs!). She was biddable and workmanlike in the field and I was always awestruck watching her work! She had her CHIC number from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). Sadly, we lost Keira in December of 2024. We had been planning to work towards for her Senior Hunt title in Spring of 2025. We miss her terribly, but are blessed to have had a beautiful litter from her in February 2024. View Keira's pedigree on The World of Gordons.

About Korbin
Bred by Mrs. Gail M. Deller, Korbin made his ring debut in Canada at 7 months, earning points towards his Canadian Championship. He has been shown at Specialties only in the US, earning 2, 5 point majors, his first at 8 months, winning Winners Dog, Best of Winners and Best of Opposite Sex over ranked Champions, the 2nd at 14 months, winning Winners Dog and Best of Winners, and 1 National Specialty 3 point major, winning Reserve Winners Dog at the GSCA National Specialty in 2023. We finished his Championship at specialties in March of 2024 with another 4 point specialty major. Korbin earned his Junior Hunt title on the spring of 2023 as well as 1 additional qualifying run. Korbin has a wonderful, sweet temperament, and a phenomenal nose! Having turned 2 years old in January of this year, we completed his final hip and elbow screenings and he now has his CHIC number from the Orthopedic Foundation for Animals (OFA). We accept inquiries about stud services, offering fresh chilled or frozen semen from Korbin to approved females. View Korbin's pedigree on The World of Gordons.
