I'm Christina S., the breeder behind RC Farm located in Weatherly, PA. Our dog has proven to be the greatest companion to our family. We started breeding to contribute to breed betterment and to share smart and loveable puppies with other families. We want to pass on only the best genetics and so we health test our Bernese parents through the University of Penn.

It's been an outstanding two weeks with these precious littles! I can't wait to see what the future holds for them. Their eyes are open, they are trying to walk, there are the first hints of play, their ears are getting floppy, noses are turning black, and they are oh so shiny and soft. Early Neurological Stimulation is going well and everyone is still gaining (we check multiple times a day...and night!) Coral is such a loving mother and we are so lucky to have her! Thanks for watching our little family grow!

About Coral
Coral is our family dog who spends her days playing with our young children. She often gets the title of "babysitter" as she follows the kids around our small farm, lounging beside them while they play. She loves a good chew bone and to take naps on the couch. She is AKC registered and CHIC certified.
Great health testing
Excellent level
RC Farm reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Bernese Mountain Dogs.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1B), Bernese Mountain Dog Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), von Willebrand Disease I (vWD I), DNA Profile
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
