Melissa S.

Breeder of Goldendoodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Melissa S., the breeder behind Red Barn Mission Farm located in Pelzer, SC. We devote our time, energy and efforts to each litter, making sure our puppies are properly socialized from the moment they are born. The potty training, night training and crate training will help with the transition to you. Our goal is to make things as easy and pleasant for you as we can.

Q. & A. with Melissa

  • Why did you start breeding?

Our kids have also begged for a dog since basically the 1820s but my husband and I have allergies. I fell in love with the idea of goldendoodles. Our family came up with the mission-plan. Many of our kids will be going on a mission for over a year upon graduation of high school and it costs $. The family decided to sell puppies and put the $ into their mission funds. The kids all help out!
  • What makes your program special?

This breeding program involves the whole family and is done in our home. Our puppies get a variety of encounters and experiences to help them. The parents are all health tested and cleared. Proper care is given to them and the puppies.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are petite size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include apricot, red, black, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
