I'm Lindsay R., the breeder behind Red Bridge Berners located in Payson, UT. I plan to breed fully health tested Bernese Mountain Dogs & my goal is to breed for longevity. Mollie has been OFA CERTIFIED for HIPS, ELBOWS, HEART, PATELLA, & EYES. She’s also had PENN/HIP testing done. Her results can be found on bernegarde number 207405. She has had 2 litters.
Q. & A. with Lindsay
Why did you start breeding?
When we built on our land I knew I wanted a dog I could breed to the best of my abilities. When I researched BMDs, I fell in love with the breed and when I found out about their short life span, I knew my goal would be to help breed them to live longer. I waited 1 year to finally get Mollie and she’s been my dream dog. I’ve also spoken to many BMD breeders offering me amazing advice along my way.
What makes your program special?
I am a stay at home mom with 3 kids who live with me still. I can invest my full attention and time to Mollie and her puppies. We have land for the puppies to play on and will be incorporating an ENS program to help the puppies get used to vacuum noises, or being handled, being in the kennel and around other dogs or cats plus car rides. I plan to breed happy, healthy well adjusted pups.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Lindsay was nothing short of absolutely amazing... I admit I was skeptical about the idea of finding a puppy online in the first place, and had a terrible experience with the first breeder we tried to work with. It took no time at all for Lindsay to put me at ease.. and no matter how nutty the questions/requests, she went all out to be sure I knew as much as I could about our little one before she was in my arms. Lindsay puts so much love and care into her puppies, really setting them up to transition easily to their furever homes. Our little bundle has zero fear, is open to every situation, has been acclimated to car rides, and is just about potty trained.. and it's only been a few days! I am beyond impressed with all she did for us, her availability even now to answer questions and just plain check in to see how we're doing. It's obvious every one of these little fluff nuggets matters to her, and I feel incredibly lucky to have one of her girls as a member of our family.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
