Meet the breeder

I'm Kim N., the breeder behind Red Shadow Black Russian Terriers located in Canton, GA. We offer healthy puppies that have been raised to reach their full potential. Our dogs are bred for health, sound temperament and correct structure. Our goal is to produce puppies that will become great family members with intelligence, drive and biddability.

Q. & A. with Kim

  • Why did you start breeding?

Reproduction has been part of my practice since 2003. Edward started breeding working German Shepherds and Malinois in the late 1990s. During one of his trips to Europe, he was introduced to Black Russian Terriers and wanted to bring the breed to the United States. Edward imported some of the first BRTs to the country.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program focuses on health, temperament, and conformation. All three are important in creating the most balanced Black Russian Terriers possible. While we carefully select our genetics, we also recognize that early socialization is just as important for a balanced foundation.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
