I'm Mckenzie H., the breeder behind Resolute Kennels located in Florence, AZ. We proudly breed American Hairless Terriers and Croatian Sheepdogs with a focus on health, temperament, and versatility. Our dogs are raised in our home, well socialized, and bred to be loving family companions with stable minds and sound structure.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I first got involved in dogs through showing and performance events, which gave me a strong appreciation for structure, temperament, and preservation breeding. Over time, that passion grew into wanting to help move my breeds forward through ethical breeding, health testing, and producing stable, versatile companions.

  • What makes your program special?

    With fewer than 25 Croatian Sheepdogs in the United States, we are passionate about responsibly preserving this rare breed. We are among the first breeders in the U.S. actively health testing, collecting data, and focusing on stable temperaments, structure, and versatility to help build a strong future for the breed.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Mckenzie

Mckenzie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Mckenzie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“AKC registration for AHTs and AKC FSS registration for CSDs included. Puppies go home microchipped, dewormed, and with age-appropriate vaccines. Mostly limited registration; can discuss otherwise. There is a non-refundable deposit to get on our list for the current litter. I do not take deposits until we have a litter on the ground. The deposit is not for a certain puppy, it is for a puppy out of the litter.”

Contract & health guarantee

Mckenzie may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Parent health testing

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Full Embark Panel

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
