I'm Melissa R., the breeder behind Riche’ Louisiana Yorkies located in Tangipahoa County, LA. We love our dogs and what we do, and we strive to make each puppy a great contribution to his or her forever home. Our dogs are part of our family first and foremost. We complete various health tests prior to breeding and we breed for quality, not quantity.

Our Yorkipoo puppies are chocolate. Yorkshire Terrier puppies include chocolate, tan and white, chocolate and tan, parti, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Melissa
Melissa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Melissa partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price
“The price includes up to date vaccines, registration, a puppy starter bag, and vet examination. In order to be on the waiting list, your application must be approved. You can then submit a predeposit. Once a puppy is chosen at 2-3 weeks old, half the cost of the puppy is due to secure it.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. I cannot recommend Melissa at Riches Yorkies in Southeast Louisiana enough! From the very beginning, she was excellent with communication. She responded quickly through both the Good Dog app and her personal phone, and I never felt like I was bothering her with my many questions. She took the time to provide detailed information, answer every concern, and make sure I felt confident throughout the entire process. Even after I purchased my puppy, Melissa continued sending video updates until pickup day. When I first expressed interest, she even took the time to video chat with me so I could meet the puppy. It was obvious how much she genuinely cares about her dogs. I was especially impressed with how well she raises her puppies from such an early age. She is incredibly knowledgeable and does an amazing job educating new puppy owners so they feel prepared to bring their puppy home. Pickup day was wonderful! Melissa was so friendly and welcoming. She even surprised us with an adorable Fourth of July outfit for our puppy, which meant so much because I had been hoping to get one. She happily let us take photos and record videos for our vlog and was incredibly supportive throughout the experience. I truly have nothing negative to say. In my opinion, Melissa is the best Yorkie breeder I know. If you're looking for a healthy, well socialized Yorkie from someone who genuinely loves and cares for her dogs, I wholeheartedly recommend Riches Yorkies in Southeast Louisiana!

I couldn't have picked a better breeder than Riche’ Louisiana Yorkies. From the moment I contacted Melissa, she was happy to answer any questions I had and went above and beyond to make sure the adoption went smoothly. I was updated with videos and pictures regularly. I was happy to be able to read about the pups parents and see how the puppies were growing over time. Very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I do live out of state and after discussing travel, Melissa had them delivered to me. Making sure they were well taken care of and had a safe trip to their new home. The puppies are happy and very healthy. We couldn't be happier!
