Meet the breeder

I'm Melissa R., the breeder behind Riche’ Louisiana Yorkies located in Tangipahoa County, LA. We love our dogs and what we do, and we strive to make each puppy a great contribution to his or her forever home. Our dogs are part of our family first and foremost. We complete various health tests prior to breeding and we breed for quality, not quantity.

Q. & A. with Melissa

  • Why did you start breeding?

Responsible, ethical breeders play an important role in the future of the dog ecosystem. We are guardians for future Yorkies. Our goal is to breed quality puppies and preserve the line of these incredible companions.
  • What makes your program special?

At Riché Louisiana Yorkies, we truly believe our breeding and rearing methods are second-to-none. Our selection of female animals is unrivaled, with a variety of pedigrees, ages, and dispositions. From calm and cuddly to energized and playful, we have it all. We'd be honored to introduce you to your new beloved, furry companion!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include chocolate, tan and white, chocolate and tan, parti, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
