I'm Nicole C., the breeder behind Ridgeback Farm located in Mayfield, KY. Our dogs are bred with health and temperament. We strive to make the perfect match when it comes to our puppies. We know that dogs are family and we want to help you pick the best puppy that will fit into your family. We also live on a 13 acre organic farm, our dogs eat sleep and live beside us.

Why did you start breeding?
Our vet suggested for us to become breeders because he saw we were such a good dog owners. He saw that potential in us and has been a great coach alongside us. He even help me create my own food for my dogs. We custom feed them according to their needs.What makes your program special?
Our dogs nutrition is extremely important to me. Living on an organic farm, and working with our vet to ensure great nutrition is available for our family and our dogs. We also breed for health, temperament, and to preserve the breed.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are lt whtn blk nose. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Puppy prices include a $100 non-refundable deposit and between $1,100 - $1,900 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Nicole was really great and communicated with us weekly about our pup Copper. Any question we had, she answered immediately. She would send us pictures and videos with updates on our pup and all the new things he was learning each week. You can really tell how devoted her and her family are to being breeders. Pickup was easy and very informative. She gave us tips on training techniques and even recommended a book about training Rhodesian Ridgebacks. She sent us home with some homemade puppy food and a piece of Copper’s mother’s blanket so he would feel more at home while adjusting to his new home. We couldn't be more happy with Nicole and how easy she made the process of bringing our new puppy home!
