I'm Ben W., the breeder behind Rising River Kennel Kuvasz located in Ohio. We hold ourselves to high standards for the integrity of our program. All of our puppies are socialized, nurtured, and loved! We have a lifetime of experience raising puppies! We love the opportunity of walking new owners through the puppy process and we’re devoted to spending as much time as necessary to be sure you’re getting the perfect addition to welcome as a beloved companion!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

+6Ben & Charissa are wonderful kuvasz breeders. They breed ethically and start early with training their puppies. They invest a lot of time & care to expose the puppies to a variety of different stimuli, noises, animals, people etc. The puppy you eventually get is set up to succeed in any home. I got my puppy when he was 6 months old and he already crate-, leash- and potty-trained. I've introduced him to my 2 other dogs who he loves and we work daily on good manners, leash walking, and good behavior on hiking trails. He is an absolute joy and I can't imagine life without him being a part of my family.
