Q. & A. with Miranda
Why did you start breeding?
20 years ago my husband and I bred Wire Fox Terriers. After we had kids we put breeding on hold for a while. I grew up with airedales in my life and when it was time for us to get a new dog-airedales it was. My husband has fallen in love with them. Our goal with breeding was to let our kids have the experience of raising puppies in the home and the joy of those cute little puppy faces.
What makes your program special?
We aim to have puppies that adhere as close as possible to the AKC standards and yet be affordable for those people just wanting a pet.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Great level
Rising-aire Terriers reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Airedale Terriers.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
