Meet the breeder

I'm Kara B., the breeder behind Riverline Shepherds located in Ford, KY. We focus on the proper development of all our puppies because we know that each one is unique and deserving of undivided love and attention. Each puppy is bred, raised, and loved indoors to ensure health, happiness, and harmony at the start of its life. At Riverline Shepherds, beauty is a given, but producing healthy, loving, and versatile German Shepherdss is our true goal.

Q. & A. with Kara

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always wanted to show dogs and admired the handlers with their dogs watching Westminster growing up. I finally got my first show dog when I was 22 and never looked back. Since then I have found the most amazing mentor , gotten involved with showing and a variety of sports and became obsessed with the German Shepherd dog. I want nothing more than to preserve this wonderful breed.
  • What makes your program special?

I think my breeding program is special because I love all aspects of the German Shepherd dog. I am heavily into showing and working dogs for their original purpose.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
