I'm Deborah (Debbie) H., the breeder behind Rocks & Roses Doodles located in Street, MD. I find so much fulfillment in seeing the positive effect a well-behaved companion can have on his or her forever family. We offer quality Goldendoodles with a focus on health and disposition. We have had extensive DNA testing and OFA certification to assure that our pups will be of the best possible quality.
Q. & A. with Deborah (Debbie)
Why did you start breeding?
Our first Goldendoodle came from a disreputable breeder. Unfortunately, he only lived for 6 years and was ill his entire life. This is what prompted us to become breeders affiliated with GANA (Goldendoodle Association of North America) and GoodDog. We wanted all of the necessary tests to ensure the best for our dogs and their puppies. We do not ever want any family to go through the heartache & expense that we went through with our first Goldendoodle.
What makes your program special?
As a breeder, I feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize the overall health and temperament of each of our puppies, and to ensure that they are loved and well cared for, prior to joining their forever homes. When our puppies leave us at 10 weeks, they come when called, sit for a treat, walk on a leash. They are highly socialized, noise desensitized and almost potty trained. If you think that is an accomplishment for one pup, try it with 8 - under 10 weeks.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include petite and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, apricot, red, chocolate, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Your puppy will walk on a leash, come and sit for a treat, and be crate trained by the time it goes to its' forever home. We will have begun potty training. Program update on 16 Aug. •
All puppies were in individual crates, separate rooms last night. There was no poo, no pee, and no crying, for seven hours and 21 minutes. Woo hoo!!! They sit for a treat and they are learning to wait to eat their food until I release them. We went to the vet for a well baby check today and all pups came out with flying colors!

All puppies are reserved from this litter. Liberty (Libby) met the “love of her life” who just happens to be the father of Jelly’s puppies. There is no relationship between Libby and Blaze, but they both have DNA to produce “parti” puppies who might resemble Auralie, from Summer Solstice Collection. If their breeding is successful, we expect puppies to go home @Christmas week.🥰

Program update on 17 July •
The Summer Solstice Collection is four weeks old today. Little Jelly weaned them when Auralie got her teeth. But Jelly was happy to come back last night and visit and her babies were happy to see her! These puppies spent a little time in individual crates today so we could do DNA testing. They are responding when I call them. They love their TLC kibble and PetLac. I love watching them play, wrestle, and tumble over each other. They are also super cuddly!

Working with Rocks & Roses has been a great experience from day one. Debbie made everything seamless. She provided a wealth of information about the dogs, the breed, and was very responsive in answering any questions I had. She sent frequent updates about the puppies, their personalities and growth, making me feel very connected to our puppy from early on, and reassured that they were being hand-raised in a loving home. I felt Debbie listened to and considered my family’s needs, and that we took home the perfect puppy for us. Our Pumpkin also came to us in stellar health, already crate trained and well socialized with all types of people, a huge credit to Debbie for the hard work. We are beyond thrilled and very grateful to Rocks & Roses. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for a home-raised mini goldendoodle.

In August of 2023, we took delivery of Angelica ( Jelly ) from Debbie of Rocks & Roses Doodles. She’s such a smart girl, and was a well socialized puppy. Debbie has been so supportive of our journey with Jelly; sharing her dog training expertise and being there for us to answer any questions. Jelly sailed through dog manners classes and, recently, earned her AKC Canine Good Citizen and her AKC Community Canine certifications.
Rocks & Roses puppies are amazing!
We’ve enjoyed Jelly so much over this past year that we added another little girl from Rocks & Roses: Sofia joined our family on July 14! She has settled in nicely and came to us already sleeping by herself all night in a crate 😊
We highly recommend getting your Mini Goldendoodle from Rocks & Roses Doodles!

Words can not express how thrilled my husband and I are with Rocks & Roses Doodles. We have a 9 year old golden who we thought would benefit from having a puppy around her and keep her active. I contacted Debbie to discuss the possibility. Not only did she give me valuable information about having two dogs, but also stopped by my work with Ginger a few days before she gave birth so we could meet. Debbie is an amazing, dedicated, and hard working breeder. She kept all the new puppy parents informed from the night that Ginger delivered the puppies to the day that we picked up our new family member. She would always send videos and pictures as the puppies grew. We chose Pedro who we later named Adley Bear. He is a perfect match for our family. Our grandchildren adore him. Already at 12 weeks, he can consistently follow several commands and is almost house trained. Thanks, Debbie and Steve, for an extraordinary experience. We highly recommend this exceptional breeder.
