I'm Jennie C., the breeder behind Roman Reign Lowchen and Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs located in Maple Grove, MN. I strive to preserve both of my breeds in temperament, type, structure, and improved health. Our dogs participate in conformation, performance sports, therapy work, and work as service dogs. We follow our breeds' CHIC guidelines for health testing, and our litters are raised on Puppy Culture.

Why did you start breeding?
Rare breeds need more dedicated breeders to ensure their future. I started breeding Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs to preserve their working heritage and family oriented temperaments. While Lowchen were always rare, I saw that the number of Lowchen fell extremely low in 2017. I was passionate about not just building my breeding program, but building a strong network of responsible lowchen breeders.What makes your program special?
In addition to raising thoughtfully planned litters with modern protocols, we are deeply invested in our breeds. I have served on the board of both breed clubs, served as Judges Education chair, created educational content used by our national clubs, spearheaded health initiatives, and served as a weigh pull and draft judge. Our dedication to our breeds goes far beyond the whelping box.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Lowchen puppies include black and silver, white, silver sable, cream, fawn sable, black and tan, and black. Greater Swiss Mountain Dog puppies are black, white and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Jennie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.

Hip Dysplasia

Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
