I'm Marnie R., the breeder behind RoseHaven Kennel located in Columbus, OH. We breed the working line German Shepherd’s dog and compete them in Schutzhund; the civilian sport of the police/protection dog and breed test. We breed to the German Standard and all of our dogs come with a complete health and temperament guarantee. We raise and train our dogs in our home underfoot. We occasionally have puppies, older pups in training and trained adults available. We put a lot of work and effort into our dogs and as such they are a precious and integral part of our family. This gives us an intimate knowledge of their health, temperament and capabilities. Consequently, we are discerning about potential new owners. We offer dogs for both the private sector such as families and home protection and Schutzhund, law enforcement, military and search and rescue groups.
Q. & A. with Marnie
Why did you start breeding?
We grew up in dog training and breeding families. Our education is in feeds and nutrition, veterinarian science and genetics.
What makes your program special?
We breed to the German Standard, for the best family companion possible. So we performance test, health test and conformation evaluate all of our stock in order to produce the best family companion possible that has the potential to be a protector, service dog, farm dog, or excel in any job if the client enters a training program.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
