I'm Andrew R., the breeder behind Royal Port K-9 located in Cumberland Gap, TN. We offer a host of products and dog training services to the public and municipal organizations. We work with everything from pet to police dogs, all breeds, all ages. We train for and compete in Protection Sport events around the region and do scenario based training for real world encounters.

Why did you start breeding?
Breeding to us is a way to preserve to quality & workability in the bloodlines and pass on the genetics to future generations. We believe in quality, goal oriented breeding's to produce better dogs for tomorrow. The primary purpose of our program is to better our breeding stock and offer quality dogs that have the ability to work as the breed was originally designed.What makes your program special?
We take extreme pride in our dogs and the puppies they produce. It starts with quality genetics, which is why we raise, train and title our own dogs. Exposure, confidence building exercises, Early Neurological Stimulation, imprinting different sounds and smells. We offer affection and foster independence, tailored to each puppies needs, to produce a very well balanced and versatile animal.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

About Ravn
Ravn is a very expressive female with an intense desire to work. She is strong and powerful, and performs well under pressure. She is civil and doesn't care for people outside of her small circle - and we are A-OK with that! High prey drive, high ball drive, medium food drive. Neutral in public settings, seeks attention only from those inside her circle of trust. Nice off-switch and super affectionate around the house. A little dog reactive but easily manageable. Very biddable in training and is eager to get the reward. She actively trains and competes in WDA as well as scenario based training. She was doing vehicle extractions at 18 months old, and going into dark buildings for "seek & destroy" missions at just over a year old. She enjoys cuddles on the couch and her favorite food is raw chicken.

About Iron
Iron is a strong & confident Czech Working German Shepherd from a line of proven producers. He is very self serving, yet biddable enough to the handler to work as a team. Neutral in public settings, doesn't crave or seek out affection and isn't reactive to people or other dogs/animals. Has a nice off switch and can easily chill around the house. Has a nice calm grip, naturally deep mouth bites and pushing counters. Solid nerves and a strong desire to work. Iron actively trains and competes in the Police Dog Division of Working Dogs of America ,Inc. (WDA) earning his Police Dog 2 Title on his 2nd Birthday and his Police Dog 3 Title a year later. He was also a competitor in the Police Dog 3 Division of the WDA National Championship Trial in 2023. He enjoys walks with dad, building searches, chasing down and beating up bad guys.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
