I'm Andrew R., the breeder behind Royal Port K-9 located in Cumberland Gap, TN. We offer a host of products and dog training services to the public and municipal organizations. We work with everything from pet to police dogs, all breeds, all ages. We train for and compete in Protection Sport events around the region and do scenario based training for real world encounters.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Breeding to us is a way to preserve to quality & workability in the bloodlines and pass on the genetics to future generations. We believe in quality, goal oriented breeding's to produce better dogs for tomorrow. The primary purpose of our program is to better our breeding stock and offer quality dogs that have the ability to work as the breed was originally designed.
  • What makes your program special?

    We take extreme pride in our dogs and the puppies they produce. It starts with quality genetics, which is why we raise, train and title our own dogs. Exposure, confidence building exercises, Early Neurological Stimulation, imprinting different sounds and smells. We offer affection and foster independence, tailored to each puppies needs, to produce a very well balanced and versatile animal.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include sable, black, black and tan, and bi-color. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Andrew

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $4,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Temperament Test

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
