I'm Cheryl B., the breeder behind Royal Redheads Irish Setters located in Longview, WA. Our dogs have loving temperaments and we focus on positive training and good health as a wonderful family pet. Our dogs stole our hearts right from the start and we found ourselves wanting to get more involved. Breeding was a natural next step and we haven’t looked back since!
Q. & A. with Cheryl
Why did you start breeding?
I bred Persian cats for over 20 years so I am seasoned in animal breeding. I had Irish Setters in my youth and wanted to raise and breed them once again after my children grew up and left home.
What makes your program special?
We have an excellent property layout for raising our own dogs. Space for running and exercise, healthy meals, regular vet visits, constant home training, good reputation, lots of human socialization, and have welcomed them living inside the home with family. And we have a whelping room designed for puppies beginning from birth and growing up together in their first couple months of life.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are mahogany. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
