Meet the breeder

I'm Susan B., the breeder behind Ruff Life Goldens located in Brick, NJ. Each of our dogs has brought so much happiness to us throughout their lives. We want to do our part to produce wonderful, healthy dogs that can bring other people joy as well, and we strive to provide each of our puppies with loving homes where they can live happy lives.

Q. & A. with Susan

  • Why did you start breeding?

That is a long story! Lol But the short version is that we got a GR for our daughter who needed a service dog. After our first golden we got another within 2 years. We fell in love with the breed and decided that we wanted to help other people and families feel the love that we felt with our beautiful goldens!
  • What makes your program special?

Our Goldens are our pets first and foremost. They are all raised in our home, with LOTS of love and attention. We breed our girls to beautiful studs with champion lines. We focus on the health of the sire and dam first, which in turn, produces healthy happy puppies. We do all appropriate OFA health testing on our Goldens to make sure they are excellent candidates for breeding.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include golden and light golden. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
