Q. & A. with Debra
Why did you start breeding?
I have loved Irish Setters since I received my first, at age 13 from a shelter. I began showing Irish in obedience and conformation in 1984. I bred my first litter in 1991. I have bred 10 litters since then. I breed my dogs to provide enjoyment to Irish setter fanciers and myself. Health, structure, and temperament are my primary visions when I pick the female to breed and the dog to use.
What makes your program special?
I only sell on co-ownership. I have a contract that is 1 page long and stresses collaboration, mentorship, and freedom to ask questions. I am always there for my owners.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
