I'm Paul P., the breeder behind SaddleDog Farm located in Palmyra, VA. Our historical farm has 70 acres of rolling pastures & woodlands. It is a foundation home for the Pyrenean Mastiff & breed rescue. We prioritize genetics, pedigree, health, temperament, and conformation for breeding. We are excited to share this amazing breed with all of you!

Why did you start breeding?
I was introduced to the Pyrenean Mastiff in 1997. At that time, there were none in the USA prior. Since then, it has been my goal to expand and preserve the line. I take my role as a breeder very seriously and believe that today's breeders are the guardians of the future Pyrenean Mastiffs.What makes your program special?
Our goal is to not only produce beautiful puppies but to help promote responsible breeding that will ensure Pyrenean Mastiffs will continue to thrive and excel for generations to come.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Parent health testing

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
