I'm Lucretia L., the breeder behind Salt and Sage Doodles located in Olympia, WA. At Salt and Sage Doodles we strive to create confident, well-adjusted puppies that will be the perfect addition to your household. We are dedicated to health testing, temperament testing, and matching puppies into families that meet the needs of the individual puppy’s personality and also the needs of the family with the goal of creating that once in a lifetime match.

Why did you start breeding?
Fun fact: I work as a Labor and Delivery nurse so being able to combine my two passions was a no brainer. I have also always loved the birth process motherhood and caring for new life and puppies are another extension of that I've always loved.What makes your program special?
We are a small breading program that is base out of our home. Our puppies are hands raised and cared for by every member of our household. We love them dearly and everything that we do is with the intention of setting them up for success as happy confident well socialized and adjusted little beings.What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our Goldendoodle puppies include petite and miniature sizes. Poodle puppies are miniature size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

“All puppies come with their first round of shots, deworming, microchipped and a 2 year health guarantee. We require a $250 deposit to be placed on the waitlist, this will go towards your final puppy price at the time of pick up.”

About Phoebe
Phoebe is a female Poodle almost 6 years old. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Lucretia decided to make her part of their program. Lucretia has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
