I'm Wendi S., the breeder behind Sans Peur Ridgebacks located in Evening Shade, MO. Our puppies are raised in our home, not a kennel, with all the sounds and socialization that enables. They interact with children, other dogs and their mother, and cats. I breed for TEMPERAMENT-"Show dogs you can live with", since all puppies will be someone's beloved pet.

Why did you start breeding?
After much searching, we were given the chance to acquire a show quality girl from WindyCity's Ridgebacks. This lovely girl, Madam Poppy Pomfrey, did not disappoint. With the calm dignity to be a first-rate couch potato, her team player desire to please, athletic ability, and beautiful conformation, she quickly earned her AKC Championship, rally, and lure coursing titles.What makes your program special?
In addition to showing/competing for conformation and performance, we select for TEMPERAMENT--"Show dogs you can live with", and only when we feel we can offer something for the betterment of the breed. As responsible breeders, we are guardians for the future Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Our goal is to breed quality puppies and preserve the line of these incredible companions.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Price
"Price includes AKC registration, microchip, AKC Reunite lifetime enrollment, and our health guarantee, initial vaccinations and deworming. A $500 is required to reserve a puppy. If for any reason we are then unable to provide buyer with puppy, deposit WILL BE REFUNDED. If buyer decides not to purchase puppy deposit WILL NOT BE REFUNDED."

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
