I'm Danielle S., the breeder behind Satara Borzoi located in Azle, TX. We strive to produce functional, healthy, friendly hounds who conform to the breed standard and serve as fabulous companions. We are so fortunate to have become devoted students and stewards of this incredible breed. We (Johan and Danielle Steenkamp) are veterinarians who have had a lifelong passion for all animals.

What makes your program special?
Each puppy is raised and placed with the utmost thought and care to ensure a perfect fit for future families. Puppies are temperament tested between 8-10 weeks and then matched with the family that best fits their personality.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Danielle
Danielle has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $1,800 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“This price includes AKC registration, age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, a microchip, and a health guarantee. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of sex, color, or a companion or show prospect.”

Danielle may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Dentition
