I'm Cecilia V., the breeder behind Savvy Chihuahuas of Oklahoma located in Choctaw, OK. All my dogs are my pets and live in my home and they’re “slightly” spoiled. All parents see the vet regularly and are genetically tested and cleared through Embark Vet. All pups are wormed, receive 1st vaccines and receive a thorough exam by a licensed vet before going to their new homes.

Why did you start breeding?
I’ve nearly always had chihuahuas as pets. 14 years ago I got my first long coat chihuahua. I was already in love with the breed but the long variety was new to me. Realizing there weren’t many long coats around at that time I decided to raise some quality pups. I’ve studied and learned so much about this breed and have had many great mentors and friends help me, I am constantly learningWhat makes your program special?
Besides having beautiful puppies, we socialize, litter box and crate train. We have human surrogate puppy moms. This allows each puppy to receive lots of individual time, love, and attention. I do keep a notification list for those wanting a puppy. Please complete our application. Our puppies include black, chocolate, cream, fawn, red, blue, chocolate sabled fawn, black and red, fawn and white, cream and white, chocolate and white, black and tan, and black and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Cecilia
Cecilia has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Cecilia partners with them to find the best puppy match.
“Puppies are sold as pets. You are most often able to choose the puppy you want. As the breeder, I have the final say to ensure a good match and home for each puppy. Once we both agree on a puppy, you can then place a deposit to reserve that puppy until it is ready to go home.”
Price
“Pet price includes pups first vaccines, a full exam by a qualified vet and a health guarantee. Pups are sold as pet only. Occasionally breeding rights are considered with special requirements. Approved applicants can place a deposit when you decide on a puppy. This will reserve your choice puppy until time to go home The Deposit is applied to the final purchase price. The balance is due at pick up or before.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Program update on 21 June •…Mommas are starting to wean their babies. We are helping with starter food and goats milk. Now that teethe are coming in they have puppy kibble out all the time too. They have learned very quickly! When I ask “who’s hungry and wants some food”, they come running to the food dish. 🐾💕🐾💕

Litter update on 11 May •…Can you believe the difference in size? Same birth weight but the black with white is Hope’s and 7 days old today. The 2 tinies are Claire’s born yesterday. Aunt Hope is helping Claire with the feeding.

I raised Claire's Momma, Bailey, so she is a second generation Savvy Chihuahua. I have also kept her daughter, Juliette, hoping to also add this chocolate girl to our breeding program. Claire is very laid back and loving. We say she has the fastest tongue in the west because she will get you right in the mouth if you're not careful. She enjoys playing with toys but also likes to lay in the chair beside you and take naps. She very much loves the outdoors on a nice sunny day so she can lay out and soak up the sun.

Oliver is an extremely loving boy. He loves to run and play outside but still wants to get in your lap and be cuddled when he's tired. He's a smart cookie too! He has a gorgeous coat and has been throwing some really nice puppies.

Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel, DNA Coat/Trait Panel, Full Embark Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

When my mom and I saw Rose on Cecilia’s page we just knew that she was meant to be a part of our family. Last fall my mom’s 16 year old chihuahua Ferguson crossed the rainbow bridge and my mom was heart broken. My dad had passed away in 2016 and when my mom lost Fergie it was almost like she lost my dad all over again. Recently she started feeling like she was ready to bring another dog into her life. For weeks she would send me posts for puppies, but none of them ever felt right until Rose- it was an immediate connection. She has brought so much happiness, love and connection into my mom’s life in just the short time she’s been with her. Rose joining our family was the best choice we’ve ever made! Cecilia is an absolute gem. She made the process SO easy. Her knowledge is invaluable. Not only did she deliver our little pup with so much information, she included a puppy gift basket that had everything we need. This puppy (we named Raina) is HEALTHY, HAPPY, CURIOUS AND SO ALERT. Cecilia also shared some of her tricks regarding potty training and water options for when she’s kenneled that are just genius!
