Meet the breeder

I'm Jessica H., the breeder behind Scarlet Oak Lagotti located in Chehalis, WA. In order to start our puppies off on the right paw, we begin socializing at a young age so they are set up for success in their new homes. We prioritize the health and well-being of each one of our puppies and follow all appropriate puppy health protocols.

Q. & A. with Jessica

  • Why did you start breeding?

Because of my love of this rare breed, I am excited to be a part of contributing to the preservation of it, by careful breeding. I also happen to live in the Pacific Northwest, Truffle Mushroom hunting country.
  • What makes your program special?

Our pups live inside with us until they go to their new homes. We do ENS (Early Neurological Stimulation) on every pup between day 3 and 16. This helps create early neural pathways in the puppies brains, that helps them adjust more easily to stress and stimulants later on. We introduce early scent training as a way to help them develop the skills necessary to use their noses later in life, as well as helping their little brains develop in a healthy way. We start them on high quality food, probiotics, and veggies. We get to know them all individually, which allows us to match them with the right families later on.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include brown, off-white, and orange. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
