Q. & A. with Ra Chel

  • Why did you start breeding?

My husband was raised with German Shepherds. He decided he would like to have one again. So we bought a German Shepherd! We Absolutely love her , she learns and does anything I ask of her. Then I got another and another and well ,. I just want to share all I love about the breed with others.
  • What makes your program special?

My program is geared to the person. What the dog will be used for or needed for. My dogs excel in service and therapy work. They have a medium to low energy drive making them better suited for most families. They tend to be less destructive and better listeners. I chose parents that have traits and characteristics that I want to pass on. I don’t do it just by pedigree and health results, I get to know the dog and that is my deciding factors. Good stable minds that are adaptable. Strong bodies that can work throughout the day. But drive that does not take a 3 mile run everyday. My dogs have lower drive for families and working couples or for handicapped people.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include stock, plush, and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.
