I'm Lisa S., the breeder behind Shades of Chocolate Mini Schnauzers located in Plantersville, TX. We cherish each of our dogs and puppies, and we do everything we can to make sure that they get the best lives possible. That includes everything from choosing healthy parents with good temperaments, to proper socialization and daily care, to placing them in loving homes with wonderful families. We strive to provide each of our puppies and their families with a truly positive experience!

Why did you start breeding?
I started with Yorkies, I bred my first one with intentions of keeping back a puppy. It was such an incredible experience but finding what I was looking for was hard. I decided I wanted to produce puppies that I would be happy to adopt myself - happy, socialized, healthy, and attractive adults.What makes your program special?
My program is small, and we do not have puppies all the time. It is so time consuming to do it properly. We only have puppies when we are able to dedicate the time into their care and training. Our adults are our pets first and part of the family.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Lisa
Lisa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,350 - $2,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.
“Our price includes AKC registration. Our puppies go home with tails docked and dewclaws removed (done 24-48 hours after birth) by a licensed vet. They have a health exam and age-appropriate vaccines. Please be certain of your decision to adopt a puppy. A deposit is a commitment to purchase. Our deposits are non-refundable.”
Contract & health guarantee
Lisa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
