I'm Teri W., the breeder behind Shakira Kennels located in Pearland, TX. We are a small, family-run program focused on breeding high-quality puppies that are healthy, loving, and true to the standard. We provide each of our dogs and puppies with the best care, and it is our top priority to ensure each pup goes to a responsible, loving home.
Q. & A. with Teri
Why did you start breeding?
I wanted to breed and show with my sons and now with my grandchildren. I love our dogs and everything we do with them. I especially love knowing our dogs truly make families whole
What makes your program special?
Our puppies are placed after speaking to potential families and placing puppies based on temperament and the family’s lifestyle vs picking a color of a collar and having no idea what that puppy is actually like. I’ve placed puppies by this method for almost thirty years and have yet to disappointed ❤️. Puppies are evaluated at eight weeks and we continue to get to know them as they grow.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier puppies are wheaten. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
