Q. & A. with Michele
Why did you start breeding?
I’ve wanted to expand on the best possible health traits of the breed. It’s been extremely detrimental to find some of the better working lines that aren’t subject to the genetic problems.
What makes your program special?
My adults are all certified OFA good hips and elbows as well as dm clear. Adults are genetically clear as well for all inherited genetic traits that can be passed on to the offspring.
What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include sable, black, bi-color, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Dentition, Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

We were more than happy with our experience with Michele Erie. She’s a fabulous breeder and she supplies you with all the information needed to take home your puppy. Even pics and info on parents. Health records and linage. We have the sweetest GSD that we’ve ever seen. She’s so good and we are so happy with her.
If anyone is interested in a GSD puppy she is a good person to talk to but you have to be a good puppy parent to acquire one. She wants to make sure that her puppies are raised properly. I give Michele Erie GSD Breeder of Linesville Pa an A+

i could write something very stuffy, but i decided to write from the heart. Michelle was over the top with her caring, her knowledge and everything she shared with me before, during and after i took my Stanley boy home. This included but was not limited to, her extensive knowledge of dogs, German Shepherds in particular, pictures on a weekly basis, which i absolutely enjoyed, a very informative telephone conversation and frequent emails! We both teared up twice when i came for the final time to collect my Stanley. This woman rocks! Thank you Michele!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
