Michele has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Michele partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.
“We take care to match puppies with the perfect owner. Color isn’t the first thing we ask about, we want temperament and energy levels for owners first and foremost. ”

“Price includes registration papers, all age appropriate vaccinations, as well as a puppy package. All puppies are the same price regardless of colors or sex.”
Michele may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Michele offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Michele directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.

Pleased to announce the final litter for this pairing. Two years have gone by since the first one, pups from that litter are amazing well tempered medium to high drive dogs that are successful with what their owners have chosen for them. Dock diving, therapy/service dogs, rally obedience, and beginning IGP, agility, & mondio. Do have a few spots on my waiting list that have recently opened up. Whelping should be around June 6th give or take.

Shenango Valley Shepherds reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Dentition, Canine Good Citizen (CGC)
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Full Embark Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

We were more than happy with our experience with Michele Erie. She’s a fabulous breeder and she supplies you with all the information needed to take home your puppy. Even pics and info on parents. Health records and linage. We have the sweetest GSD that we’ve ever seen. She’s so good and we are so happy with her. If anyone is interested in a GSD puppy she is a good person to talk to but you have to be a good puppy parent to acquire one. She wants to make sure that her puppies are raised properly. I give Michele Erie GSD Breeder of Linesville Pa an A+

i could write something very stuffy, but i decided to write from the heart. Michelle was over the top with her caring, her knowledge and everything she shared with me before, during and after i took my Stanley boy home. This included but was not limited to, her extensive knowledge of dogs, German Shepherds in particular, pictures on a weekly basis, which i absolutely enjoyed, a very informative telephone conversation and frequent emails! We both teared up twice when i came for the final time to collect my Stanley. This woman rocks! Thank you Michele!
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
