I'm Kendra S., the breeder behind Sherman's Shepherds located in Howard City, MI. As conscientious breeders, we are proud of the loving, smart, beautiful, and sound puppies we’re able to provide for others. Our breeding program started with one small litter that turned into a fulfilling, lifelong passion! We believe there’s no greater joy than providing families with companions that share unconditional love no matter what.

Why did you start breeding?
We got into breeding by just doing it as a hobby. We absolutely feel in love with the puppies and have since gained tons of knowledge about them. We originally started with golden retrievers but have recently fallen in love with the German Shepherd breed.What makes your program special?
Our program is very professional, clean, and time oriented. We introduce our puppies to ENS and ESI. They get handled daily from the time they're born to the time they go to their new homes. We offer a 2 year health guarantee with all of our puppies! We have a incubator, oxygen concentrator, nebulizer, and much more onsite for any cases we may need them. Our puppies get top care and all of our dedication while being raised right in our home.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
German Shepherd puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Golden Retriever puppies include dark golden, golden, and light golden. German Shepherd puppies include sable, black, and black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Kendra
Kendra has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,500 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Our puppies are priced at $2500 for limited registration and $3000 for full registration (to approved breeders). Prices may vary on breed, titles, parentage, etc. This does not include the percent fee Good Dog takes out with selling a puppy. All of our puppies are the same price regardless of color, size, or lineage. Our deposit ensures your reservation of the puppy you want. If you decided you don't want one, it is nonrefundable.”
Contract & health guarantee
Kendra may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Agata is sweet, loving, and the perfect temperament for a family type dogs. Although she could easily make a good and high end show/working dog, she also is calm and loves spending time with people. She loves to play with toys and other dogs, but also loves being in your lap and cuddling. Agata has the perfect on/off switch and a mid-low drive. Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

From the beginning Kendra was great to work with during this process. She always responded quite promptly and answered any questions we had completely. She made sure to keep us up to date through the whole time of how the puppy was doing. Though one of the best parts was when, despite a setback on getting our puppy to us, Kendra worked tirelessly and communicated with us promptly to get it sorted out. We are so happy to have Bentley with us, and it is plain to see how much care goes into their puppies based off of how well adjusted he has been along with how quickly he has been taking to some training.

Kendra was extremely responsive right away with my questions about her puppies. After some chat I decided to purchase one, due to the summer heat in Arizona shipping options are very limited but Kendra worked with me to get the puppy to Phoenix as soon as possible.
